The Clear Creek County Greenway Authority (CCGA) is a 501(c)(3) subsidiary of The Greenway Foundation that guides the greenway development along one of Colorado’s scenic river corridors.

Imagine a trail linking the Platte River Greenway in Denver to the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail, giving hikers and bikers access to hundreds of miles of backcountry Forest Service trails and to four Clear Creek County fourteeners, with nearly unlimited opportunities for recreational fishing, kayaking, rock climbing, hiking and bicycling.
— Tim Mauck, Clear Creek County Commissioner

Our Mission

The Clear Creek Greenway Authority’s purpose is to coordinate and ensure the design, construction and full enjoyment of a Clear Creek Greenway trail across Clear Creek County by partnering with public and private entities and to secure funds and by conducting community outreach to build excitement and awareness among local and regional communities.

The CCGA envisions a multi-use, accessible, continuous paved bike path along Clear Creek, spanning the county from east to west, that is a world-class, innovative shared outdoor space, that attracts visitors from around the state and the world, that provides new ways for the community to be outdoors together and that spurs the creation of lucrative and impactful programs, businesses and recreational opportunities across the county.
